| BES Arte & Finança |

|
Located in Lisbon's financial district, BES Arte & Finança is an original multifunctional space where contemporary art mingles with a diversified offer of financial and non financial services provided by the Espírito Santo Group.
BES has long been driven by its Corporate Social Responsibility concerns to develop a series of initiatives that reinforce its corporate citizenship role. The inauguration of BES Arte & Finança represents a turning point in the bank's approach to that which it has elected as the core area of its cultural patronage policy: photography.
The photo collection of Banco Espírito Santo - BESart - is one of the most relevant private collections of its kind in the Iberian Peninsula. It contains 900 works by 280 artists from 38 nationalities.
The photo collection, until now kept in the bank's vaults and available only to visitors to its headquarters (at Av. da Liberdade no. 195, in Lisbon) is now for the first time accessible to the public. During the year the centre will host a number of exhibitions and workshops related to contemporary art in general and to photography in particular.
The purpose of the bank is to divulge and provide a contact with contemporary art to people who are not regular museum goers.
It is open on business days from 9 am to 7 pm, and entrance is free.
Next Event: Opening of the exhibition "BES Revelação 2012" on 19th April, at 19.30, which will be
submitted the winning designs of the 8th edition of this initiative, held in 2012.
Works of Mariana Caló Queimadela & Francis, Diana Carvalho, Tiago and Joan Casanova Escoval, curated by Carolina Rite.
