| Banco Espírito Santo and the Ilídio Pinho Foundation award the "Science in School" prize to twelve projects and grant twelve honourable mentions |

The winners of the 'Science in School' prize, a joint initiative of Banco Espírito Santo and the Ilídio Pinho Foundation, were announced on the 4th of July, in the Exponor, in Porto. The twelve Portuguese schools with the most innovative interdisciplinary projects in the 2011-2012 academic year, were distinguished In the ceremony, attended by Ilídio Pinho, Chairman of the entity that hosts the initiative. Twelve honourable mentions were also made.
On the appealing topic of “Biology and Natural Resources”, this edition once again confirmed the prize’s vitality, with a total of 670 projects in the first stage.
This competition, which BES has been associated since 2004, involves primary and secondary school students and teachers from around two thousand schools in Portugal.
